Regular vs oversized T-shirts: find your kind of fit
Understand the silhouette, compare garment measurements and choose a tee that feels intentional—not just a size bigger.

Regular and oversized describe the shape of a T-shirt, not just the letter on its label. Before deciding between them, think about how much room you like around the body, where you want the shoulders to sit and how the hem works with your trousers.
What a regular fit gives you
A regular tee is a useful starting point for a more familiar, straightforward silhouette. Try the Pawsitive Vibes Regular T-Shirt if you want a graphic, or the Essential Classic Cotton T-Shirt if you want an unprinted option. You can wear either on its own or under an open shirt without making the graphic or the layering feel compulsory.
The regular listings featured here specify 180 GSM fabric. Non-melange colours are 100% cotton; melange shades have a different blend. Always read the exact listing rather than applying one fabric description to the whole catalogue.
What changes with an oversized cut
An oversized tee is designed around a roomier silhouette. The Choose Kindness Oversized T-Shirt uses 240 GSM, 100% cotton fabric and an oversized fit. The extra fabric weight and the cut are separate features: GSM describes fabric mass per square metre, not the size of the garment or a guarantee of quality.
If you already like wide-leg trousers, an oversized tee can make a relaxed pairing. If you prefer a little contrast, try a roomier top with a straighter lower half. There is no requirement to size down to make oversized clothing look correct; the measurements should decide.
Measure a favourite tee before choosing
- Lay a T-shirt you like flat, without stretching it.
- Measure across the chest from one side to the other.
- Check whether the product chart uses flat width or full chest circumference. Double the flat width only when comparing with a full-circumference chart.
- Compare length as well as chest. A comfortable width does not automatically mean your preferred hem length.
- Use the chart for the exact product type; do not transfer a size from a hoodie or crop top.
Regular versus oversized is not the same as small versus large
Sizing up a regular tee changes several measurements together. It may become longer without giving you the intended proportions of an oversized pattern. Compare both charts before making that substitution.
